Talamalu 'o e fonua : sacred narratives of Tonga /

Tuku fonua celebrates a singular moment in history [in 1875] called Tuku Fonua, when in Pouono, Vava'u, King Tupou I, a Christian convert, gave Tonga to the God of Heaven and Earth, to be the protector and guardian of his people.
